Cisco 5508 Wireless Controller - To enable & Troubleshoot 802.11 A/B/G/N clients



To enable,validate, Troubleshoot 802.11A/B/G/N clients on the wireless controller
Ø  Enable 802.11a
1)      Go to Wireless>802.11a>Network> General >Enable it.
2)      Check wireless >802.11a>High throughput>(11n and 11ac mode are selected.). If you don’t have 11ac at all appearing there , no worries.
3)      Go to wireless >Access points >Radios>802.11a/n/ac to see if the AP you are trying to connect has operational status up.

Ø  Check if the client is connected to 802.11a. Go to Monitor> Clients> search the mac address. It should show there that it is connected on 802.11a. Note down the AP name as well.
1)      Sh ap auto-rf 802.11a <Ap-name>
2)      Sh client detail <mac-address>
3)      Go to the Monitor > clients>mac address>On the left side> Link test. Click on it , it send some packets and check the link quality and give you the results. Take that screen shot.
Ø  Check the performance , speed etc. Again there is no comparison with the wired but yes all the applications should work properly.
